Capiz is the Seafood Capital of the Philippines. Inhabitants of Capiz are called Capiznon or Capiceño. But behind this term, Capiznon is also well-known of being ASWANG? Do you believe in ASWANG? Most people usually think that ASWANG are those people who live in CAPIZ when they heard about this place. Why I am talking this place? Well guys, I am a proud native Capiz of what people think ASWANG ISLAND. You think so I am an Aswang too? He he .. Come to think of it. Well, I love my place so much and I am proud of being a Capiznon! Do you believe in unbelievable creatures, such as aswang? And do you believe also Aswang are found in my Captivated Place-Capiz? Guys, that’s a wrong description about Capiz. That’s the wrong scenario. Just keep on reading this blog and think about who really Capiznons are!
Capiznon are hospitable and approachable. By the aid of our “lana”, the well-known oil who transform Capiznon into a creative and captivated ASWANG. Yes, Capiz is truly captivated!
Now, Capiz is truly captivated. Capiznon are competitive now of these days. We are just ordinary persons who have an extra ordinary talents, skills, characters and qualities. We have wings to fly high through our talents and skills. Not only here in Capiz but also abroad. Schools in Capiz are accredited and one of these schools is Filamer Christian College, where I am belonging now! It is abundant of quality Doctors and Masters in terms of Education. It is also abundant of students who are excellent in their degree. There are also tourist attraction found in Capiz, such as Bay-bay Beach Resort, the newly opened Clear Grand Hotel, Suhot Cave, Naulan Falls, Pilar Cave and the Pan-ay Church and many more.
Capiz is in Region 6. It is part of Western Visayas. Roxas City is the town proper. It is 45 min. ride in an airplane from Metro Manila. And it usually takes 7-8 hour when in an economy ship ride.
